Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko took part in the presentation of the Kyiv Global Business Tech Incubator project, which will help to promote the capital’s startups all over the world.

According to the Mayor, Kyiv today is actively developing and is a platform for implementation of new ideas, implementation of promising projects.

“We are implementing technological projects that help the capital to become a modern, comfortable and safe city. And Ukrainian startups have proved their competitiveness and each year they rank first in world rankings. Many projects receive funding from international funds, platforms, and investors. We also contribute to their implementation. We give access to the data of city and services, stimulate the implementation of new ideas in different spheres of life of the capital “, – said the Mayor.

The new Kyiv Global Business Tech Incubator will be a part of the international innovation eco-system and is aimed not only for youth startups and IT but also to commercialize the development of metropolitan universities. An incubator will be available to scientists, lecturers, researchers, students of universities and also for startup groups. Prior to joining the incubator, projects involving a wide range of technologies in mechanics, chemical, electrical and space engineering, pharmacology, medicine, and information technologies will be admitted.

The Mayor of Kyiv reminded that Kyiv Smart City Hub is one of the examples of the successful implementation of innovative projects. With its help, the capital today attracts young specialists for the implementation of projects focused on the development of urban infrastructure.

Vitaliy Klitschko thanked USAID specialists who helped to develop the Kyiv Global Business Tech Incubator.

The incubator will be located in America House on Mykoly Pymonenko Street in Kyiv. Eventually, the project will move to the premises of one of the metropolitan universities.
